    Description

    Position Summary Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic cardiology and/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention under the supervision of the department supervisor, manager, or director.


    • Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics, and equipment operation and maintenance.
    • Performs routine assignments using existing procedure guidelines.
    • Receives instruction, guidance, and direction from more senior level sonographers
    • Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations. Qualifications Licensure/Certification Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and
    • Registered in Fetal Echocardiography (FE); and/or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and Registered in at least ONE of the following registries: Adult Echo (AE), Fetal Echo (FE) or Pediatric Echo (PE); and/or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and Registered in at least ONE of the following registries: Vascular, Phlebology, Neurovascular (through The American Society of Neuroimaging (ASNI)); and/or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); and Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
    Licensure/Certification Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS); and
