Beyond A Resume seeks an Associate General Counsel with contract experience for our biotech client in Redwood City, CA.

Job Duties:

Manage one or more direct reports responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various research and commercial contracts.
Experience with intellectual property, regulatory, and compliance matters relevant to the drug development process
Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks, partnering with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization
Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies.
Support the Chief Legal Officer in designing and implementing companywide compliance programs applicable to clinical and commercial stage publicly traded biotechnology companies.

Job Requirements:

JD degree from an accredited law school
10 +years' relevant experience, including experience in the life sciences industry and/or in a law firm servicing life sciences clients.
Membership in at least one U.S. state bar
Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
Familiarity with biotech industry practices and trends is a plus.

Pay:
$300, $340,000.00 per year
