Purpose & Basic Function:
Assist press operator in maintaining press schedules and the efficient operation and quality of the Digital Inkjet press


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist press operator complete setup and operate equipment including the print engine, unwinder, priming unit, stacker, and finishing unit
• Assist press operator by maintaining paper inventory and replenishing as necessary including safely stacking/wrapping material before moving and loading of correct paper stock into machine
• Monitor quality of finished product to ensure customer satisfaction, efficiently stack and deliver book blocks to bindery
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, job jackets, records, documents, timekeeping, etc.
• Assist in the cleaning of work area including priming unit, finishing unit and press, as well as preventative maintenance

Additional Accountabilities:

• Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE's, Ergonomics, and etc. Performs job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees
• Assist with housekeeping in the digital area
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must be mechanically inclined with good math skills
• Reliable, flexible, organized, attentive to detail
• Willingness to assist others, enhance job skills

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
