Position Summary:
The DCCC is hiring multiple Regional Analytics Directors for the 2024 election cycle. The position will be available Spring 2024 and run through November 2024.


The Regional Analytics Director will work with the Analytics Campaigns Director and team, as well as the regional teams, to advise congressional campaigns in their region on their path to victory and maximize the effectiveness of their voter outreach strategies based on rigorous statistical analysis of past election results, voter file data, polling, microtargeting models, and other analytics tools.

Regional Analytics Directors will serve a vital role in ensuring that data is an essential component of the decision-making of the DCCC and congressional campaigns.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Working directly with voter file data, model scores, and research to define targets for direct and indirect voter outreach, including the composition of the targets, the method of communication and advising on the message.
  • Collecting and analyzing data that tracks progress to strategic imperatives for victory, including polling, qualitative research, and trends in early voting.
  • Coordinating analytics work for the region with Regional Analytics Strategists
  • Providing strategic advice to the DCCC and campaigns by serving as the nexus between data and strategy.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements:


  • At least 12 cycles of campaign experience or comparative experience working with community, advocacy, party, or electoral organizations with success (or history) in developing and winning campaigns.
  • Prior data, targeting, polling, or statistics experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: polling and survey research, SQL, GIS, field reporting and program evaluation, precinct and individual level modeling, data visualization.
  • A demonstrated ability to present datadriven recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels
  • Proactively fosters an inclusive atmosphere and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant and productive ways

Nice-to-Haves:


  • Familiarity with large scale relational databases or statistics software; Phoenix/Big Query a major plus
  • Advanced proficiency with webbased voter file platforms such as VAN, Catalist, or PDI.
  • Strong problemsolving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced, evolving environment.
  • Experience designing, building, or using automated reports and dashboards for tracking program metrics.
  • Draws from teammates' strengths, empowering them to maximize their talents; contributes where needed to achieve and exceed goals; mentors and guides colleagues particularly Regional Analytics Strategists
