Disney Branded Television (DBT) oversees the development, production, & marketing for kids & family content under the iconic Disney brand.
Our content is found on Disney+, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, & Disney XD.Creative Marketing Motion Design Team is responsible for motion graphic design, branding, custom animation, & visual effects, for DBT's marketing & short form content.
We are a team of creative professionals with a passion for visual storytelling.In this role you will support the Creative Managers & Art Directors on a variety of projects.
You will also be responsible for coordinating daily graphics requests from Writer Producers and interfacing with internal motion graphic artists.
Conducting quality control, managing graphics deliveries & maintaining a vast motion graphics library are key responsibilities.Responsibilities:
- Motion Design Production & Delivery_
- Assist the Motion Design Managers with daily graphics workflow, projects, and priorities
- Book internal graphic artist and edit bay time for the Motion Design Team
- Creates written requests for daily graphics projects and tracks progress
- Acquire, research, and provide assets from our series and franchises for use in projects
- A point person for vendor/designer relations
- Provide spec, style guide, and process support
- Field questions as needed
- Responsible for full final quality control approval on package graphics and technical quality control for new design
- Supports in the creation of After Effects project templates for graphic versioning
- Communicate on a daily basis with our internal Writer/Producers.
- Helps get clear direction on their graphic needs to produce/finish their spots
- Deliver all final graphics produced to our external staging area for Editors to access.
- Helps all Editors pull in the final graphics created per spot for their Edit timeline.
- Final graphics packages will need a one sheet overview created to share with Writer/Producers and additional Disney Teams (Social, Paid Media, Synergy etc).
- Reach out to all internal and external designers to have final collect builds organized and compressed for internal backups.
- Helps us pull back all assets for future needs on refreshes, reissues or modifications for additional spots being created to repurpose assets.
- Library Management and Organization_
- Enforce the naming convention, uniform organization, and intuitive accessibility of assets at our post facility, across internal servers, and hard drives
- Track and collect all final projects and renders, confirm they are to spec and upload to our internal archive
- Handles delivery of final assets to international and provide any information needed for global use
- File management of our archive
- Supporting file cleanup and future optimizations including asset migrations
- Provide detailed metadata tagging
- Routine Deep Archival
- Provides internal departments with support for existing graphic assets fielding questions to the Motion Design Team as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year coordinating experience in television production or entertainment marketing/promotions
- Familiarity with asset libraries and prepared and willing to provide heavy asset library support
- Familiarity and strong interest in motion design and post production with some prior experience
- Highly collaborative with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in taking and compiling detailed notes
- Displays excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize their workflow in a fast paced environment
- Steady demeanor in the face of shifting daily priorities and business climate
- Positive cando attitude with strong initiative and follow through
- Working familiarity & knowledgeable of After Effects, Photoshop, & Illustrator Programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in working in kids television and familiarity with the demographic
- Minor familiarity with Maya, & Cinema 4D and associated file types
- Mac Proficient
- Working familiarity with FRAMEio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Keynote
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree
