    Description

    Brief Description

    • Works with local school districts, nurses, and DSHS to coordinate vaccines for preventable diseases.
    • Participates in planning programs, policies, and objectives for the workgroup and department.

    Detailed Description

    Collaborates with public and private school nurses to enhance vaccine coverage for school-mandated vaccines on the childhood schedule.

    • Collaborates with school nurses to assess vaccine coverage for outbreak controls, including Covid outbreaks necessitating contact tracing and returning to school post closures and isolation.
    • Assists in evaluating annual vaccines coverage surveys for 1st through 6th grades.
    • Provides education on reminder recall processes and other initiatives to encourage compliance with vaccine schedules.
    • Collaborates with DSHS staff on daycare or school audits and reports.
    • Ensures culturally and linguistically appropriate messaging throughout outreach and field operations.

    Job Requirements

    Education and experience equal to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field of study.

    Skillful in using standard software applications.

    Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain productive relationships with employees, departments, and the public.

    Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted. Willingness to travel to various work site locations.
