AWS/CES is looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Pontiac, MI

Shift: 1st shift-6am-2:30pm

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Pontiac, MI This long-term temporary position offers a competitive pay rate of $35 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Document and track department deficiencies using problem-solving techniques

Build prototype and preproduction electric motors as per the build schedule

Analyze motor defects and perform necessary repairs

Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop welding processes for new motor designs

Modify and build fixtures and tooling

Operate machine shop and motor lab equipment (lathe, drill press, mill, robotic welder, wire forming machines)

Perform motor electrical tests according to authorized procedures

Maintain records, analyze data, and report results

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience

Associate degree or experience in mechanical or electrical activities

Prior experience with prototype builds

Knowledge of electric motors and their theory

Manufacturing knowledge related to electric motors

Familiarity with assembly build processes in Manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10+ years of Mechanical/Electrical experience
