The Cultural Office of the City Administration of Kempten is currently seeking several employees (m/f/d) for visitor services and lunchtime coverage at the Kempten Museums and the Archaeological Park Cambodunum (APC).

Compensation:

Pay grade 4 according to the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD)

Weekly working hours:

Part-time

19.5 hours

Start date:

Immediately

Initially limited to 1 year

RESPONSIBILITIES

Point of contact for visitors for all questions regarding the APC and other museums
Monitoring access areas and ensuring compliance with behavioral rules
Checking the condition of the exhibition and museum facilities, and performing minor cleaning tasks if necessary
Assisting freelance staff with preparation/material provision for educational programs
Collecting admission fees and completing daily cash reports
The lunchtime coverage will represent the staff at all locations (Kempten Museum, Erasmuskapelle, and APC) and must travel to the locations by bicycle or personal vehicle.

REQUIREMENTS

Communicative and friendly personality
Physical fitness (lots of walking and standing), willingness and full physical ability to work in the outdoor area of the APC, even in freezing temperatures, rain, and heat
Willingness to work overtime from spring to autumn (overtime will be compensated during the winter months)
Availability to work 5 days a week
