We're looking for someone like you to lead complex data exploration and analytics projects through your experience with programming languages, such as SQL, R, or Python, operationalizing models, containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing platforms for the defense sector.

The defense sector is looking for individuals with exceptional mathematical modeling backgrounds who have done outstanding work utilizing tools, such as AI/ML and other state of the art algorithms. We're leading efforts related to optimization of logistics planning and we're looking for someone to bring expertise or interest in operations research related optimization problems. We work on problem sets more broadly that involve Natural Language Processing and text analysis, so you will be exposed to a wide variety of modeling aspects-we are looking for someone who is creative and excited about solving problems from a variety of angles

You'll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems. You'll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. Ultimately, you'll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with AI systems or Software Engineering for ML capabilities that support mission use cases, including turning requirements into implementation and evaluating architectural tradeoffs
• 3+ years of e xperience with the application of Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision
• 2+ years of experience with data streaming, ETL and ELT software, and data warehousing technologies
• Experience working in a team environment for application development
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with distributed data and computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, and Hive
• Experience with Agile engineering practices
• Knowledge of DoD enterprise data mission space and systems
• Ability to communicate key value points and insights
• Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
