About this role:


The Property Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support in the Southern California Property Division of Sunrise Management, including data entry, correspondence, filing, phone support and various tasks as assigned.


  • Must be highly computer literate and is able to assimilate to new software quickly.

  • This is a Full-Time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • This is NOT a remote position. Employee will work onsite in the corporate office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Include the following but not limited to:


  • Backup for phone calls for regional property managers
  • Miscellaneous correspondence and administration including, but not limited to letter writing, faxing, copying, mailing.
  • Maintain property and owner files in file order for assigned portfolio.
  • May compose narratives and cover letters, review monthly financials.
  • Mail monthly Income/Expense Reports and monthly fund distribution to owners ensuring instructions for distribution are followed.
  • As directed, conduct communication with clients in a friendly but professional manner to obtain or relay information as directed by Regional Manager or Director of Management
  • Represent Sunrise Management in a professional manner.
  • Assist in promoting Sunrise Management and securing new business.
  • Oversee flow of and coordinate receipt of weekly and monthly reports from sites and delivery to corporate offices and clients
  • Communicate with onsite staff on an ongoing basis about missing documentation, reports, procedures, meetings, deposits, timecards, etc.
  • Assist the Regional Manager with coding, processing and preparing invoices for approval.
  • Ensure the onsite staff is updating Market Surveys and disseminate copies to appropriate parties.
  • Assist Regional Managers with rent increase administration.
  • Assist Regional Managers with contracting and bidding.
  • Prepare and review past due ledgers/statements to residents' midmonth.
  • Prepare tenant bill back letters and input to AppFolio.
  • Copy bills and mortgage statements for financial reporting to clients.
  • Assist with the maintenance of employee contact list for Regional Manager's portfolio in accordance with Sunrise Managements policies and procedures.
  • Create flow charts as directed by Regional Manager
  • Draft/Develop procedures/policies as directed by Regional Manager
  • Collect weekly vacancy reports from resident managers.
  • Adhere to company accounting directives, including but not limited to income accounting, expense control, and petty cash accounting.
  • Represent Sunrise Management and the community in a professional manner. Maintain a positive businesslike attitude in person and on the telephone. Dress in a neat, clean, professional manner and adhere to appropriate grooming.
  • Adhere to Fair Housing Policies.

What you'll need:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Minimum of 1 year experience working on a PC.
  • Availability of reliable transportation, a valid driver license and automobile insurance are a must as travel to properties and meetings will be required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of onsite experience as a Community Manager.
