    Job Title: Programs Compliance Associate

    Company: Homes for the Homeless, Inc.

    HFH's Operations Team is looking for a Programs Compliance Associate to support the children/youth program operations. This entry-level position requires a candidate with strong attention to detail and experience in program development. As a liaison between various parties, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Programs Compliance Associate, with a base at the Central office and regular visits to HFH shelters.

    Homes for the Homeless runs shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC. These family residences offer more than just housing, providing a range of onsite programs that aim to support families during and after their stay. The organization's mission is to create a lasting positive impact on families' lives.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Help evaluate and ensure compliance of childcare programs with regulations
    • Assist in creating safety checklists and tracking compliance training
    • Conduct classroom observations and maintain knowledge of regulations
    • Attend relevant meetings, manage program information, and support recruitment processes
    • Research grant opportunities and establish partnerships with educational institutions
    • Perform other assigned duties as necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in education, human services, or related field
    • OR currently pursuing a degree in education or related field (preferred)
    • Prior experience in children's programs (preferred)
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team
    • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
