    Summary:

    The Product Manager will be primarily responsible for understanding client needs, reviewing strategies with stakeholders, writing user stories and acceptance criteria along with business requirements, and working directly with business stakeholders, IT, Scrum Masters, and business operations teams to bring new digital solutions to life. The Product Manager acts as the "keeper (and communicator) of the vision" to translate the product strategy and vision developed with business stakeholders into what the product team must bear in mind every day to ensure they are building the right product.

    Communicates business unit and product goals, objectives and priorities in a persuasive manner that builds support, agreement, and commitment. This role will be responsible for developing product strategies, vision and roadmaps that align with the architecture and technology direction of the business unit, consistent with enterprise priorities as agreed with product-line management.

    The five key areas of responsibilities for the Product Manager role include:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
    • Develop a deep understanding of user personas and requirements across our ERP product; leverage these insights to serve as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders and customers
    • Working knowledge of product development architecture
    • Help define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities.
    • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
    • Cleaning and translation of user submitted requests into technical backlog items.
    • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
    • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
    • Backlog management, iteration planning, lead standups, and host retrospectives for each sprint
    • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
    • Head up communication to the business on released enhancements or major announcements regarding the product.
    • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
    • Coordinate with stakeholders and app/devs on testing/QA of completed tasks.
    • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
    • Must be able to understand technical issues well enough to make the right decisions about when to prioritize getting a new feature, rather than when to reduce technical debt or improve resiliency.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with the key business and technology stakeholder.
    • Facilitate and drive alignment among key stakeholders
    • Work with key stakeholders to make frequent and dynamic prioritization decisions.
    • Define, track and communicate key product performance indicators as required to inform this process, and track business results.
    • Define the product roadmap based on business outcomes.
    • Collaborate closely with product delivery teams.
    • Regularly test the latest daily or weekly build
    • Collaborate and coordinate with other product managers.
    • Coordinate with other stakeholders such as business, data, and IT architects to align product and platform architectures and capabilities according to agreed goals for nonfunctional requirements.
    Key Competencies:
    • Ability to manage large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholder
    • Familiarity with accounting concepts acquired either through formal education or hands-on experience
    • Experience with D365 Finance and Microsoft Power Platform is a huge plus
    • Experience in insurance brokerage/ insurance/healthcare industry is a huge plus
    • Demonstrable experience of engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions.
    • Understands the key financial drivers and dynamics driving business growth, and the organization's business goals.
    • Promotes decisions and recommendations for product strategies that are clearly linked to enterprise and business unit strategies and financial goals, reflecting awareness of the market context.
    • Is sensitive to rapidly resolving issues that arise among products and platforms (both within the business unit and between multiple business units) in a way that balances product and enterprise goals Building Relationships
    • Establishes and maintains support from key stakeholders within and across relevant business units to identify, then achieve, product objectives and outcomes, consistent with the relevant cultural norms.

    • Experienced and effective at applying change management principles and techniques in helping the organization manage through change as required to execute the product strategy.

    • Has a broad perspective that informs product definition and delivery - from both customer insights and business model design - balancing these perspectives consistent with business profit and loss or internal goals

    • When required to evangelize the vision into target communities or ecosystems, is effective in representing the product or platform within that community in a way that ensures all ecosystem partners feel heard, and well-served by the product vision?
    • Manages up and down, in the sense of keeping everyone on the same page about what customer problems the product is aiming to solve, what the vision is for how to do that, and where the organization is in executing that vision Technical Knowledge and Proficiency
    • Understands the language the product teams use to conduct the business of the team and is conversant with all the tools and techniques required to communicate with and send work to a team.
    • Understands - and is able to operate within - the domains of any core technologies that the product requires to deliver capabilities (artificial intelligence or machine learning, for example) if required.
    • Is effective in translating technical language into business language as needed to bridge the gap between business and technical professionals engaged in the full product value stream.
    Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
    • 5-7 years (or more) of relevant experience in IT and business/Finance (in the business domain in which the product will exist, for example) that gave the candidate a close-enough view of the target customer role to understand what they do, and what they see as valuable.
    • 3 years (or more) in diverse roles and increasing responsibilities across business and IT, although a business-only career is acceptable if business roles included sufficient technology focus to equip the candidate to communicate effectively with delivery teams.
    • 3 years (or more) working in or with lean and agile software delivery teams (preferred).
    • 3 years (or more) working with design professionals, within a design thinking process, including as an assistant in the user experience design process (preferred).
    • Familiarity with ERP platforms, such as D365 Finance, SAP, Oracle required
    • Experience managing ERP implementations and/or migrations is strongly preferred
    • Dynamics 365 Finance functional experience with team leadership responsibilities.
    • Past Business Analyst experience required.
    • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and SAFe certification a plus.
    • Excellent understanding and knowledge of core Microsoft Dynamics 365
    • Insurance Brokerage, insurance industry experience is a plus.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of the product management discipline
    • Basic familiarity with the principles of design thinking, and lean and agile software delivery.

    Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company's performance.
