- Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCAD
- Create electrical equipment material lists for procurement
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Researchers, and other staff members
- Provide guidance to Electricians, Technicians, and other trade labor
- Conduct field work to validate construction drawings with actual conditions
- Participate in formulating on-site facility electrical requirements
- Maintain and update plant electrical single line diagrams
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Apply NFPA, New York State Building Code, and OSHA regulations
- Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design
- Must be a US Citizen
- Willingness to work from an office in Niskayuna, NY
- Be at least 18 years of age

- Background in Facility Engineering
- Experience with VFD
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills

Description
The Facilities Electrical Engineer will primarily focus on supporting projects and the electrical design needs of the Research Center, offering additional support to site operations as required.
Position Overview
In this role as a Facilities Electrical Engineer, you will actively contribute to the site operations of GE Research.
