Description

Basic Function

The Planner is responsible for maintaining all material for their assigned product line as well as for ensuring that all parts are produced in support of the production schedule.

Essential Functions

Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules per Epicor system prompts and analytical judgment.
Confer with purchasing, engineering, customer service, program managers, quality, and the manufacturing department to determine progress of work and completion dates.

Compile reports on progress of work, inventory levels, and production problems.
Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, backlogs, or other interruptions; collaborating with management, production, and engineering.
Consistently work with the inhouse MRP/Epicor system
Meet as required with the Buyer to ensure that Purchase Orders are placed on time and to ensure ondock date required by the system to support production.
Provide all monthly, weekly and daily shop and assembly requirements to the Materials Manager, Manufacturing Manager and appropriate Leads.
Support the Sales Administration Group in Customer Status and Service on an as needed basis
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience_

Basic working knowledge of Epicor and its basic elements, in addition to basic facets of producing products through procurement, the shop, outside processing and assembly.

Basic product knowledge is essential. Must be analytical and able to communicate with most levels of Operations Personnel.

Some college and any combination of two (2) to four (4) years of planning experience, or four (4) years of experience in a planning, stockroom, or production position in a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions
Factory environment, exposure to machine noise, metal particles, dust, and coolant. Bending, lifting of up to 35 pounds, and standing for long periods of time.

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $100,000
