Answer inquiries and provide information to customers, visitors, and overhead door professionals regarding activities, offices, and employees within the organization.
Performs varied and diverse office clerical duties. Requires knowledge of office systems and office procedures. Duties may include a combination of answering telephones, purchase order processing, typing, office machine operation, document scanning, and filing.Principal
Responsibilities:
- Answer telephones, direct calls, provide information, and take messages.
- Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Communicate with customers, visitors and overhead door professionals to answer questions or explain information.
- Sort and route incoming mail.
- Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
- Obtain customers' names, addresses, and billing information, product numbers, and specifications of items to be purchased, and enter this information on order forms.
- File copies of orders received.
- Perform duties, such as sorting brochures or straightening chairs to maintain lobby and/or reception area.
- Compile information about new accounts, enter and maintain account information, and file related forms or other documents.
- Process client purchase orders
- Troubleshoot problems and log complaints as appropriate
- Data Entry and other duties as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
- Must possess excellent telephone etiquette. The ability to handle multiple telephone calls in a positive manner while maintaining a positive relationship with customers is essential to this position.
- Must be skilled in verbal and written communication techniques.
- Organizational and time management skills are essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Must maintain a high degree of professionalism in a potentially frustrating environment.
- Strong decision making and analytical skills.
- Possess a strong work ethic and is a team player.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Previous work experience interacting with customers
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Previous Quickbooks experience preferred but not required.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Shift:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
Weekly day range:
- Monday to Friday
Work setting:
- Inperson
