- Promotes effective student learning through lab activities including the use of a variety of instructional techniques designed to meet student needs, promoting active and independent learning, and promoting higher-order thinking
- Advises students in academic matters
- Evaluates students by a variety of means (competencies) to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform them in a timely manner of their progress
- Submits requested information and required reports and forms in a timely manner
- Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues. and the community
- Completes required college training, campus orientation, and meetings as needed
- Attends PTA Program meetings
- Attends clinical remediation meetings
- Participate in accreditation and clinical education activities
- Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned Minimum Education Required Other Knowledge Required
- Candidates must have the minimum of an associates degree for the physical therapist assistant; however, a Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Health, Education, or related field is preferred
- Three years full-time experience as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
- Must provide current, unencumbered licensed in Maryland as Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
- Use of independent judgment, initiative, and ability to manage time
- The ideal candidate will have community college teaching experience, experience incorporating technology effectively into classroom and/or laboratory instruction, and ability to coordinate with and mentor adjunct faculty

Position Information Position Title Physical Therapist Assistant Adjunct Faculty FLSA Exempt FT/PT Part Time Hours Per Week 3-5 hours Work Schedule varies Position Salary Range Work PerformedHCC is interested in all qualified applicants who are eligible to work in the United States. However, HCC will generally not sponsor applicants for work visas. Due to HCC policy, only employees living in states contiguous to Maryland are eligible for work at HCC and include Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC, Pennsylvania.
