Description

Job Summary:
Dispatchers are responsible for the coordination of travel operation while providing superior customer service. Effectively leverage resources to maximize productivity. While ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service to our clients. Must have extensive knowledge of Northern Virginia, Manassas area and surrounding areas.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Assign transportation trips into dispatching software.
  • Manage drivers progress along their routes.
  • Assign addon trips to optimize timely pick up of clients.
  • Ensure drivers schedules allow for periodic breaks.
  • Work well under pressure from clients and facilities.
  • Record accurate details of incidents, accidents, and complaints.
  • Input information correctly into the appropriate company software's.
  • Monitor and address dynamic driver issues (cancelation, standby, etc.).
  • Respond to inquiries from clients for transport ETA.
  • Maintain on time and professional performance.
  • Use active listening skills that support effective telephone communication.
  • Handle special telephone tasks like call transfers, taking messages, call backs, holds, interruptions, and unintentional disconnects in a professional manner.
  • Meet commitments to clients, facilities, and coworkers.
  • Maintain knowledge of dynamic client protocols.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and managers as necessary.
  • Work on a rotational basis that includes holidays and weekends.
  • Perform other duties, as they're assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong logístical, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to read and utilize a map
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and utilize proprietary company software implementations.
  • Spanish language proficiency (Preferred, but not required).

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lifting boxes, wheelchairs, etc. as they arrive.
  • Full-Time

Pay and Benefits:


  • Hourly wages $20.00
  • Benefits/Medical & Dental (50% company paid)
  • Shift hours 6 am 3pm
  • Paid Time Off
