    The Quality Assurance Technician role in Quality Systems and Compliance is a growth and development opportunity that provides an overall education of all Collins processes and functional areas leading to transition to leadership roles.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Performs new product introduction evaluation and First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102, company Quality Management System and customer contracts.
    • Responsible for examining and verifying the initial manufactured parts and components against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Conducts detailed inspections, measurements, and tests reviews in ensured compliance with requirements.
    • Document inspection results, identifying any discrepancies or non-conformities.
    • Collaborates with engineers, production teams and other supporting functions to address issues and ensure product quality.
    • Participates in quality assurance activities throughout the production process.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as identified by the cognizant Quality Assurance Manager.

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

    • 1+ year of product inspection work experience
    • Must be able to read engineering/configuration drawings
    • Strong attention to details, knowledge of inspections techniques and tools
    • Must have solid computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Must be a dependable worker with demonstrated well planned attendance, willing and able to commit to completing work on an agreed upon schedule, mentor less experienced team members and be able to work with minimal supervision
    • Must have flexible work schedule, willing and able to work overtime and may be needed to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift or weekend work schedule as needed to support workload and Operational priorities.
    • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Qualifications as Certified Inspector and/or CQSI for several production processes preferred.
    • Previous or current Collins Inspection experience

    This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.     The salary range for this role is 34,000 USD - 63,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
