Job Summary:

A Special Education Paraprofessional provides support to students with special needs and assists special education
teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in the classroom. The Paraprofessional works
collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other school personnel to create a positive learning environment
that supports the academic and social-emotional development of students with disabilities.


Responsibilities:


  • Work under the direction of special education teachers to provide academic and behavioral support to
- students with disabilities

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
(BIPs)

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school personnel to ensure that student needs are being met
  • Provide individual or small group instruction to students with disabilities
  • Help students with daily living skills, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies
  • Collect data on student progress and behavior, and report findings to special education teachers and other
school personnel

  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to increase knowledge and skills related
to working with students with disabilities


Qualifications:

High school Diploma and minimum 48 units in Bachelors/an Associatae degree.


Required Documents:

Copy of Bachelors transcript/Associate degree, TB test report and Driver License


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:


  • Special education: 1 year (preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
