Job Description
Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
Basic Qualifications
8 Years experience with Bachelors of Science in Marine or Mechnical Engineering. Proficient in AutoCAD. ShipConstructor experience a plus. Prior design experience or field experience with Marine Systems is required. Must possess Leadership skills to mentor/work with peers and other disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of experience minimum in Navy vessels Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems design.
Extensive knowledge in Navy military standards and specifications, as well as the commercial standards for Marine HVAC&R systems design and equipment, especially in compartments HVAC load calculations/analysis, HVAC duct pressure loss calculations, HVAC system diagrams.
Responsibilities will include all aspects of marine engineering, design and integration of Marine HVAC Systems.Why HII
