Adventist Health boasts one of the largest networks of rural health clinics in California, accounting for 20 percent of such clinics in the state. Nationally, we stand as one of the largest providers, giving care to over 750,000 individuals in underserved rural areas. Situated in an area known as the world's fruit basket, the Central Valley is about 30 miles south of Fresno, offering an easy 90-minute drive to either the central coast of California or the Sierra Nevada Mountains, ensuring access to year-round adventures.

Position Summary

As a key part of the team, you will deliver essential psychological services to patients receiving mental health care. Your role involves diagnosing and treating emotional and mental disorders within your licensed scope. You will assess patients and provide crucial psychotherapeutic interventions when needed.

You will be responsible for communicating your clinical findings in written form and engaging in Mental Health consultations with the staff of the organization. Proper documentation following policies and procedures is vital. Your involvement in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings will be essential. You will also work with the electronic medical record system, Cerner, throughout your duties.

The ideal candidate must be BC/BE, hold a California license or be eligible for one, and meet the hospital's medical staff credentialing requirements.
