Cardiac Procedural/Surgical IMCU Overview:


This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic
surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers.

The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.

Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.

Education/License/Certifications:

Diploma RN, associate degree RN, bachelor's degree RN, or master's degree RN.

All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
