- Leads research and development team to support strategic objectives for assigned product lines.
- Collaborates with marketing and commercial teams to identify new opportunities and establish priorities.
- Delivers new products and technology to support strategic objectives.
- Leads technology road-mapping efforts. Identifies, acquires or develops key technologies to maintain or establish leadership in key strategic markets.
- Optimizes portfolio investments and resources to deliver high returns on research and development investments.
- Utilizes common research and development management processes and participates in process improvement efforts.
- Manages Intellectual Property for the group.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree inengineering, science or related technical field
- 8+ years' experience in Research and Development or New Product Development.
- 5+ years' experience leading research and development professionals and technicians.
- Successful product development history
- Experience in materials and material-driven applications.
- Understanding and success in risk management, resource planning, design control, product development and life cycle management
- Ability to interpret technology and market trends as a basis for technology and product roadmaps.
