- Verify guest identification and credit/check approvals following hotel guidelines.
- Ensure that any special guest requests are communicated, recorded, and met.
- Address guest inquiries with a positive and amiable demeanor.
- Effectively handle and resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and courteously.
- Answer incoming calls promptly, direct calls correctly, and provide precise information.
- Promote the property enthusiastically, offering details about services, events, amenities, and pricing.
- Keep communication open with the upcoming shift to relay essential information.
- Complete daily checklists thoroughly and follow cash handling procedures.
- Accurately post charges to individual or master accounts.
- Verify charges, cash transactions during the shift, and prepare the necessary drop with witness verification.
- Drive Company vans as required for work purposes.
- Manage guest mail and messages following the established protocols.
- Handle wake-up call requests efficiently and correctly.
- Balance daily revenue, process payments, reconcile accounts, and prepare managerial reports.
- Update front office system following outlined protocols.
- Balance and review all front desk transactions and settlements.
- Reconcile revenue from food & beverage and other sources with the point of sale system.
- Perform any additional duties as delegated.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organized workspace.
- Portray a professional attitude consistently.
- Ensure a safe work environment and report any hazards promptly.
- Cultivate positive relationships with all departments.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures detailed in the Employee Handbook.
- High school diploma or equivalent with necessary licenses/certificates.
- Fundamental math skills and prior experience in handling cash.
- Ability to multitask, work effectively under pressure, and with minimal supervision.
