Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings their own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.


About the Location

Hybrid Position:

This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity.

Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.


About the Job Hardgoods & Specialty Category Marketing Manager**PetSmart is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Integrated Brand Marketing team, leading our efforts in the Hardgoods and Specialty categories. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Brand Marketing, the role blends retail marketing and brand marketing skillsets to create business-driving and consumer-centric campaigns.


As marketing's key partner to the Hardgoods and Specialty business teams, you will act as the connective tissue between Merch and Marketing teams, developing category marketing strategy, leading relevant programs and tactics, while translating key category insights into our full enterprise go-to-market approach.


We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and a creative thought-starter, who can build credibility and trust with peers and cross-functional leadership while driving business performance and bringing our "Anything for Pets" brand platform to life.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Lead relevant marketing programs from inception through implementation, identifying insights, writing briefs, tracking project progress, ensuring on time/on budget execution and delivering timely recaps
  • Be the voice of Integrated Marketing, presenting strategy, tactical updates and communicating updates and results to crossfunctional business partners, ensuring alignment and building trust
  • Act the voice of the Hardgoods/Specialty category business teams for the wider marketing group, developing an expertise on lines of business, reporting on performance, and identifying priorities and opportunities
  • Partner with Analytics and Audience teams to develop insightsbacked strategies that drive sales growth
  • Manage forecast, tracking and accuracy for projects, and provide updates as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), with at least 35 years in marketing, communications, or customer experience
  • Strategic retail experience is strongly preferred
  • Highly organized, with strong project management skills and an ability to efficiently prioritize projects on varying timelines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Capacity to flex across both broad strategic planning and tactical execution
  • Ability to analyze data, develop new ideas and test new programs to drive sales
  • A passion for pets and people
