- Assist in planning and coordinating the 8-week internship program schedule, including workshops, field trips, and other activities.
- Ensure interns have the necessary resources and materials for their daily tasks and learning experiences.
- Manage transportation logistics, including driving interns to different locations as needed utilizing a University-owned vehicle.
- Monitor and record daily attendance and participation of interns.
- Handle day-to-day issues and provide support to ensure a seamless program experience.
- Record and document key aspects of the program for future use and case studies.
- Assist in developing strategies to make the program sustainable and scalable.
- Compile feedback from interns and partners to identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with various university departments and external partners to facilitate program activities.
- Act as a point of contact for interns, providing guidance and support throughout the program.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including community partners, university staff, and program participants.
- Mentor and support interns, fostering an inclusive and encouraging environment.
- Assist in conducting workshops and training sessions on topics such as resume building, financial literacy, and career development.
- Address any concerns or challenges faced by interns promptly and empathetically.
- This position may require occasional evening and weekend work.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Job Title: Program Coordinator - Northside Summer Internship Program
Departments: Research Computing, Office of Public Engagement, and Office of Information Technology
Location: University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus and Surrounding area
Compensation: $27.00 per hour
Job Summary:
We currently seek two temporary Program Coordinators to support the Northside Summer Internship Program, which is geared towards youth with an interest in technology. The coordinators will ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to the program's sustainability. This role involves logistics management, collaboration with various university departments, and interaction with interns to ensure a positive and enriching experience. The ideal candidate will be flexible, organized, and passionate about community outreach and youth development.
The internship starts June 24, 2024 and is scheduled to last eight weeks. We are seeking two Program Coordinators who are available to start as soon as possible and will see the program through to completion.
