    About the Role:


    As a member of our team, you will provide clinical nutrition services, including nutritional assessment, diet counseling, modified diet formulation, and nutrition intervention for patients. Your main goal is to ensure patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory compliance, and good public relations. You will work in accordance with population-specific guidelines and adhere to National Patient Safety Goals while performing clinical duties.


    Minimum Job Qualifications:
    • Licensure or other certifications: Registered by the Commission for Dietetic Registration. Licensed by the state of Georgia.

    Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Language skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions from various stakeholders.
    • Computer skills: Proficiency in standard computer operations, including MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures, proportions, percentages, volumes, and apply basic algebra.
    • Reasoning ability: Capacity to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Formulates and executes appropriate nutritional care for patients. Assesses nutritional status, develops care plans, and educates patients and families on nutritional requirements. Provides specialized nutrition care as needed, such as neonatal dietitian services.
    • Participates in programs promoting proper nutrition while committing to education and personal growth. Provides educational programs, participates in support groups and committees, and seeks continuous learning opportunities.
    • Maintains effective communication through written and verbal means. Collaborates with healthcare team members, completes documentation accurately, and ensures clear communication among Nutrition Services Staff.
    • Performs Resource/Educator duties. Acts as a resource for staff, mentors and trains as necessary, and ensures patient visits by the management team.
    • Performs job duties correctly and safely, following regulations and guidelines. Maintains confidentiality, adheres to regulatory standards, and actively participates in Performance Improvement Programs.
