100% FTE. Day Shift. Monday - Friday; Hours range 7:00AM - 6:00PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking
Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:


  • Experience a well-rounded view of pharmacy services, including mail services, specialty pharmacy, and prior authorizations.
  • Help support our pharmacy services across the entire Madison area. Be a strong team player, highly detailoriented, and a critical thinker who easily identifies how to prioritize work and manage time within a busy work environment.

Education:

Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program


Work Experience:


Minimum - Six (6) months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school.


Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred - Certified Pharmacy Technician

UW Health Pharmacy Services Building - a non-clinical location in Middleton that houses nearly 100 Pharmacy professionals. These employees perform various services and duties, including pharmacy administration, Pharmacy Technician Training Program, pharmacy primary care services, medication prior authorization, sterile and non-sterile compounding, specialty/mail service program and call center.
