Job Summary:
An Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for providing immediate care to patients who are experiencing life-threatening medical conditions. They must be knowledgeable in emergency medical procedures and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assessing patients' conditions and administering emergency medical treatment
  • Observing and recording patient vital signs
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
  • Performing triage to prioritize patient treatment
  • Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Providing emotional support to patients and families
  • Educating patients on postcare instructions and followup appointments
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Prior experience in emergency room or critical care setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Detailoriented and able to multitask effectively
  • Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
