Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team.
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care in a family medicine clinic and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, medication lists and other relevant patient information
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with patient education and provide support for their healthcare needs
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support
- Proficiency in performing patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and collecting specimens
- Experience with Xray procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient service
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced physician office environment
