- Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping or other Business-related degree or equivalent experience.
- Few years' experience in accounts payable, customer service, accounting and data entry.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of RealSource, university and state procurement policies and procedures.
- Proficient time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze documents and manage electronic retention of accreditation proofs.
- Ability to fit into a team environment characterized by shared accountabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage a variety of projects and to work independently.
- Excellent ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels within and outside the University.
- Ability to review documents, accounts and solve problems.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Must never have been convicted of a felony, crime involving moral turpitude or domestic violence.
- Must be able to pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
- Experience with RealSource and Banner Finance preferred.
