The Texas Cares Project Coordinator (PSVI), under the supervision of the Program Manager for the Texas Cares program.

This position performs highly advanced consultative and technical work, with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, for the development and implementation of the Texas Cares program.

Work includes assisting with project management, planning, tracking milestones and activities, compiling updates and reports, and coordinating meetings.

The PSVI will also gather and document business requirements, create business processes, support the Program Manager and team in the planning, execution, and completion of projects.

They will help streamline processes, manage resources, and ensure effective communication to keep projects on track. This is a hybrid telework position, with one day a week in office.

  • Other work includes providing support on communications, presentations and briefings, metrics reporting, risk management and mitigation, change management, lessons learned, and archiving project documentation. In addition, the PSVI will help develop, document, and maintain program processes and tools and ensure changes are communicated appropriately to all stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

(30%) Utilizes high-level project management skills to support the development and implementation of the Texas Cares program. This includes assistance with developing project plans, tracking milestones and activities, conducting research, and compiling updates and reports.
- (30%) Performs complex business analysis work including gathering, documenting, verifying, and validating business requirements, supporting facilitation of work sessions, and analyzing business processes to ensure requirements meet program needs. Reviews relevant program documents to analyze study findings, root causes, and program design processes. Conducts research to further program goals.
- (20%) Provides consultative services and technical assistance for program communications, presentations and briefings, metrics reporting, risk management and mitigation, change management, budget tracking, lessons learned, and archiving project documentation. Contributes to the development of a program outreach plan.
- (10%) Coordinates meetings with the team, management, stakeholders, and contractors by scheduling meetings, routing agendas, drafting meeting notes, and following up on project action items.
- (10%) Provides copy editing support for reports, memos, deliverables, and other documents. Assists with any additional projects and tasks as needed, including actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligation for disaster response and/or recovery or the Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternative shift pattern assignment and/or location.

Knowledge of HHS programs, policies, and procedures; of the methods, principles, and practices of the agency.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:

Certification as a Certified Texas Contract Manager or obtain a CTCM within 6 months of hire.
