Director of Client Placement & Admissions

Basic Functions

  • Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Client Placement & Admissions is responsible for creating and maintaining efficient systems, ensuring timely clinical assessments for admissions to CRI-Help, Inc. residential and detoxification programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Intake Department and cultivate the function of the Department as an integrated team.
  • Perform supervisory duties, including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating Intake Department staff.
  • Supervise and train all staff members who complete admission inquiries. This includes but is not limited to overthephone screening, answering preadmission/general intake questions from potential client, families, or their referral sources, scheduling intake, gathering and then communicating insurance information.
  • Supervise and train all Intake Specialists who are responsible for conducting clinical assessments. This includes but is not limited to conducting ASAM, ASI, CIWA, COWS, and making sure that all admission paperwork is completed.
  • Meet census goals by working with CRI-Help's interdisciplinary team to coordinate client flow into and through CRI-Help's different programs.
  • Assess inquiries when necessary and respond to referral sources based on CRI-Help procedures, communicate admission(s) decision(s) and ensure positive admission experience for referrers, clients and their families.
  • Ensure proper completion, signing and distribution of paperwork in accordance with CRI-Help's Admissions policies and procedures, and all applicable DHCS, LACDPH SAPC, and CARF requirements.
  • Manage the Mitel phone system call center and monitor performance of each Intake Specialist monitoring call abandonment rates, inbound calls handled, shift duration, etc.
  • Conduct weekly Intake Department meetings.
  • Maintain close communication with CRI-Help leadership about bed availability and communicate be availability to the clinical team.
  • Initiates and coordinates goals, deadlines, and projects for the Intake department
  • Attend weekly Case Conference meetings, report on new admissions and provide weekly written reports on departmental activities, as needed.
  • Ensure that phones and intake are covered at all times managing time off requests and schedules.
  • Participate on the Risk Management, Quality Management, and Management Committee.
  • Submit and close out all CALOMS files on a quarterly basis.
  • Submit DATAR on a monthly basis for Pfleger Residential and Socorro.
  • Maintain knowledge of managed care clinical guidelines standards and criteria for admissions into SUD residential and detoxification programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the CEO.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Must have excellent written, oral and documentation skills.
  • Must be diplomatic.
  • Must be well organized and proficient in planning and scheduling.
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must understand the philosophies of the 12Step programs.

Education / Training

  • Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or licensedequivalent, with a valid license in the State of California designated by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Required: Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the State of California; certified by one of the three State of California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) recognized certifying organizations (i.e. CAADE, CCAPP, or CADTP).
  • Required: Bachelor's degree.

Experience

  • Must have a minimum of five years of related work experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be willing to undergo random drug screenings.

Pay:
$98, $118,000.00 per year
