Description

Utility Construction Company, Inc., an Arizona General/Federal Contractor, is seeking hard-working and dedicated people to join our team to work on construction crews.

We take pride in our staff and look forward to growing the team. We are currently looking for an experienced Boring Operator.

Requirements:

Set up, operate, or tend drilling machines to drill, bore, ream, mill, or countersink
Knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problemsolving and decisionmaking to ensure safety
Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Ability to locate underground utilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Class A CDL, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Knowledge and experience in operating the equipment required to build including excavators, digger derricks, arial lifts, pressure augurs, etc.
Ability to pass preemployment process.
Ability to work safely and follow OSHA guidelines.
Current IMSA Certification a plus or Roadway Lighting equivalent
Ability to take the lead on tasks and opportunity for promotion as company grows.
Organizational skills to ensure projects are run smoothly and safely.
Versatility working in all kinds of weather conditions.
Teamwork and communications with crew members.
Dependability to get the jobs completed in a timely manner.
Following instructions and maintaining a positive attitude.

Travel is not expected and will be rare, but employees must be willing to travel for out-of-town jobs.
