Responsibilities:

As a Food Service Worker at St. Francis Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food services. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks related to patient and non-patient food service.

Your flexibility, attention to detail, commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient environment, and excellent customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver patient trays, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dietary requirements.
Service the cafeteria, restocking food items, and maintaining a clean and organized serving area.
Work on the tray line, assembling and distributing meals to patients.
Stock storage areas with necessary supplies.
Prepare nourishments as needed.
Assist with dishwashing and pot washing.
Mop and sweep floors, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
Empty trash receptacles.
Learn and rotate through various stations within the food service department.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

- **Flexibility**: Must be adaptable to variable shifts, including weekends. Shifts typically range from 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Further details will be provided upon hiring.

Training: Training sessions will start times will occur around 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM or 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred (starting July 1, 2017).

Certification: County-specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and must be maintained current.

Customer Service Background: Prior experience in customer service is highly desirable.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $16.00 to $19.48.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
