    Description

    Sr. Mechanical Engineer at KFI Engineers

    The Senior Mechanical Engineer at UCE plays a crucial role in project success. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager at UCE, this individual ensures technical and engineering excellence, delivering work effectively to customers. The Utilities and Central Energy (UCE) group specializes in large central plant projects, focusing on district energy for cities, universities, hospitals, and manufacturing campuses, covering energy production and distribution.

    • Expertise in sustainable energy production, combined cycle, combined heat and power, industrial HVAC, and medium voltage power.
    • Lead large complex projects from concept to completion, including startup and commissioning.

    TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications for code compliance.
    • Perform engineering calculations and approve utilities systems/equipment selections.
    • Lead utilities systems/equipment procurement and manage projects and teams effectively.
    • Provide work direction, coaching, and technical support to team members and subconsultants.
    • Participate in the development of talent to meet organizational goals.
    • Represent KFI at conferences and industry associations.
