Summary:

The Maintenance Technician I will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

Help to maintain welding, building and related equipment in an industrial environment, assist with the maintenance tech
Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferably supplemented by 1 year technical/vocational training.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in related field.
Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
Ability to understand technical processes.
Knowledge of basic safety procedures.
Knowledge of power tools.
Keen attention to details.
