Description
Nurse Practitioner needed for Podiatry(Foot and Ankle) practice in Roy, Utah. Full-Time hours.Contribute to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing physician directives.
Assess patient health by interviewing patients; and obtaining, updating, and reviewing medical histories.Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Instruct and counsel patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, discussing family coordination, providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Provide care and education in all areas of lower extremity care including sports medicine, surgical, palliative care, wound care, trauma, pediatrics, geriatrics, and infectious disease.
Master's degree in nursing.Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, medical history notes, and procedure manuals.
Also able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Previous experience including applicable rotations, wound care experience, and/or job shadowing/clerkship preferred.
