Duties:


  • You will manage all aspects of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution process for the Director regarding Undersea Warfare programmatic requirements, sustainment, research, development and acquisition.
  • You will ensure all internal and appropriate external guidance is adhered to throughout the development and defense of the Undersea Warfare program and budget.
  • You will coordinate the definition of and evaluation of potential future undersea concepts of operations to include science and technology initiatives, for periods of 540 years into the future.
  • You will assist in stabilizing and aligning undersea investment strategy across the Future Years Defense Plan and develop contingencies for the uncertainties of the budget process.
  • You will be responsible for developing and executing the 30year shipbuilding acquisition plan, reducing the overhead of programs that are downsizing and leveraging available resources.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR
