Main Purpose of the job


Schedule:
Wednesday 10pm - 4am

  • Thursday
  • Saturday 4pm to 4 am
  • The QA Technician's primary responsibilities will include raw material/ finished product testing, monitoring and verification of inprocess inspections. Performs a variety of standard microbial, chemical, analytical, and physical or sensory testing. Responsibilities will also include maintaining logs and records associated with job function (e.g. nonconforming materials, corrective action log, extended run logs, environmental results logs, finished product microbial logs etc.).Role
  • Comply and execute the company Quality Policy on all required Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality and food safety requirements.
  • Ensures that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping, and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in plant to "ready to eat" quality standards are met.
  • Escalate quality or food safety findings or incidents to management. Communication of information to peers, crossfunctional team and management.
  • Supports quality Improvement initiatives (e.g. first time right, product defect reduction) within the factory.

  • Verifies QA checks, HTST charts and paperwork are completed across all lines of the factory. Performs checks as verification when necessary.
  • Front line support for operations, respond timely to issues on the factory floor, collect all pertinent information and escalate to QA team/supervision (through Q-Alerts)
  • Help support line inspections after sanitation when necessary. Table inspections when needed.
  • Place "Out of specification" material and/or product on quality hold in JDE system. Communicate quality holds with relevant production and quality personnel.
  • Support the execution of GMPs throughout the manufacturing plant and follow safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform Line Quality Auditor duties as defined by Quality Supervisor and includes line specific GMP Audits, DMAs, and other checks.
  • Train MOPs, KOPs, warehouse personnel, and Mix Makers on HACCP checks when needed.
  • Support warehouse with pallet, trailer inspection and sensory of materials.
  • Pick up retention as defined by the standard.
  • Release pallets in JDE for RDC, warehouse and release MT on QA hold when safe to release.
  • Attend production meeting to report any QA findings and offer support.

The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $55,000 and $65,000 per year depends on experience.
