Office Clerk - Full-time Hourly

Grow Academy

Job Summary:

The Grow Public Schools Office Clerk will assist the office team in the daily administrative operations of the campus, in support of the goals, policies and procedures developed by the Principal.

The Office Clerk will collaborate with clerical and other support staff and oversee the daily business operations of the Academy.


Reports to:
Administrative Assistant/Office Manager, Grow Public Schools


Job Duties:


  • Support the Admin Asst./Office Manager as the point of contact for community members, future parents, and staff.
  • Answering questions, ensuring timely and professional communication
  • Assist with student enrollment including collecting all necessary paperwork and entering information into student database
  • Assist in managing the student database, including entering data on an ongoing basis
  • Support office team in the maintenance of records and data for required reports
  • Support office team in hosting events such as parent information sessions during student recruitment and open enrollment
  • Assist in collection of uniform orders for new students and communication with uniform vendors
  • Assists in facilitating employee recruitment events, interviews, and be a point of contact during the onboarding process
  • Assist with placing orders for curriculum, supplies, and equipment and be the primary contact for vendors
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, bulletins and memorandums in relation to assigned projects, and translate documents as required
  • Assist with arranging substitute coverage and provide substitutes with assignment information; prepare sub packets, schedules, keys, time cards and related materials
  • Assist in collection of payroll data in a timely manner
  • Assist the nurse by following safety procedures to keep all students safe.
  • Assists with the administration of Independent Study, including data entry, coordination of student assignments, and reporting
  • Supporting the distribution and collection of Independent Study technology
  • Assist with other office duties as needed

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively on projects
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, Basic use of Student database)

Education and Experience:


  • High school Diploma plus 2 years of school/afterschool experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of different educational software a plus


Generally work hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, however, there may be days where the office staff supports school enrichment activities such as parent-teacher nights, family cooking classes, 8th grade promotion, etc.
