**Due to the ongoing development of our business, a new role has been created for a Retail Project Manager to join our busy Property team.**
This role will be responsible for managing successful implementation of Independent Store Design and Development projects, ensuring consistent development of the SPAR retail offer, completion of developments within time and cost constraints and to the satisfaction of independent retailers, whilst upholding CJ Lang strategy and convenience retailing best practice principles.
It involves working closely with the property team to ensure consistency and planning of all store refit proposals including communication and updates on project work. It will require building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and external. This will include managing 3rd party vendors in order to support the completion of work; liaising with them across the planning and execution elements of the project to ensure a smooth and efficient project. A key focus is on the smooth execution of every project on time, to budget and quality standards as agreed. As this is building work, meeting building compliance and health and safety regulations is a given. There are some people management responsibilities for the internal merchandising team, who support the delivery of refits.
You will need a strong understanding of the building regulations and health and safety in a retail environment. Excellent project management and relationships skills are required. This role requires someone who can handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously with minimal supervision. It will be beneficial if you have experience in retail/FMCG but these are not essential. Additionally, you will have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate, manage and lead multiple teams both directly and indirectly.
