Computer Science for Game and Multimedia Development: Training

The training for computer science for game and multimedia development allows apprentices to plan, analyze, implement, develop, maintain, and service applications for use on entertainment and information electronic devices after their training.

The computer scientists then create digital game worlds, entertainment applications, attractive information displays and shop systems, as well as memorable learning experiences.

The content during the two-year training can be divided into three main topics:

Concept
Creation of concepts for games, learning, information and presentation systems, project management, resource and cost planning, media calculation

Design
Game design, design theory, graphic design, image editing, audio and video editing, 3D modeling and 3D animation, screen and level design

Development
Imperative and object-oriented programming, development environments and authoring systems, 3D programming, creation of applications for PC's, game consoles and mobile devices in online and offline areas

The theoretical content is taught by experienced lecturers, who mostly come from professional practice themselves. In numerous multi-week project phases, the knowledge and skills taught are trained and deepened in a cross-disciplinary manner through realistic tasks.
