_SUMMARY_
Responsible for the proper administration and coordination operations and maintenance activity of the power facility. Manages personnel who operate, maintain, and repair equipment to produce electrical energy and thermal energy.
Performs required functions in support of the O&M Agreement, while ensuring adherence with all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
Meets or exceeds budget projections for the facility. Works under the direction of the Plant Manager.-
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Ø Carry out the requirements outlined in the Operations and Maintenance Agreement, Energy Service Agreement, Facility permits and regulations.
Ø Maintains and controls the work program so that manpower, equipment, and materials are allocated effectively and efficiently to meet maintenance schedules and operating requirements.
Ø Schedules and supervises maintenance in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, system specifications and as indicated by equipment performance, maintenance records and safety requirements.
Ø Assures proper staffing, scheduling, orientation and training of the plant staff and manages compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Ø Conduct monthly operational reviews with the Plant Manager in addition to daily communications as necessary to keep the Plant Manager informed.
Ø Directs operations and maintenance personnel to ensure plant goals are met or exceeded.
Ø Chairs monthly safety meetings and prepares monthly operating report.
Ø Recommends plant operational goals and objectives. Ensures all emissions as a result of plant operation are in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Ø Develop, implement and evaluate plant specific performance tests related to the following:
Ø Availability improvements
Ø Thermal efficiency
Ø Environmental compliance
Ø Assure that outages involving scheduled or unschedule4d equipment repairs are completed safely, technically correct and within the outage time allocated by the schedule.
Ø Compile all necessary data, investigate viable alternatives and make economic evaluations related to plant equipment and/or procedures modifications to assure improved plant safety, availability, efficiency and environmental compliance, including all environmental and other appropriate regulatory agencies.
Ø Cooperate with and participate as a team member.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE_
A minimum of eight year's relevant power plant experience, with a minimum of two years in a management position. Four-year degree or commensurate experience required.
A thorough, demonstrated understanding of power plant operations and maintenance including a working knowledge of the operations and maintenance components of the plant.
and statutory regulations as relates to power plant operations. Understands budgets, bid proposals and contract evaluation, and basic accounting principals.
This individual must be capable of managing programs and tasks at the plant. This individual must demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret data to make sound professional judgements and recommendations.
The ability to manage and motivate subordinate members, contributes to team development, and deal persuasively and harmoniously with all other managers and plant employees.
Pay:
From $110,000.00 per year
