Description

A Mail/Warehouse Handler is responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other materials within an organization's warehouse or mailroom.


Responsibilities:


  • Receive incoming shipments of mail, packages, and other materials. Sort and distribute items to appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging items securely and arranging for their shipment via various carriers such as postal services, courier companies, or freight forwarders.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Keep track of inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Store incoming materials in designated locations within the warehouse. Ensure that items are stored safely and securely to prevent damage or loss.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies. Report any issues to supervisors and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as shipping labels, packing slips, and delivery confirmations. Ensure that all paperwork is accurate and uptodate.
  • Communicate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers regarding the status of shipments, delivery schedules, and any special handling instructions.
  • Resolve any issues or concerns related to mail delivery, shipping delays, or damaged goods. Take proactive measures to prevent future problems and improve efficiency.

$ $28.26 per hour
