About the Role:


This position is primarily responsible for relieving doctors and other medical personnel of administrative and clerical work by performing the following duties.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be as

  • Complies and records medical charts, reports, and correspondence
  • Answers telephone, schedules appointments for PE and diabetes
  • Prior Authorizations
  • Respond to telephone encounters, patient's messages and providers messages
  • Responsible for linking DI with orders and tracking it
  • Confirms patients' insurance regarding bill client labs
  • Take patients vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height, medication log, smoking screen, depression screening, and records information on patients' charts. (Recording all required information in chart)
  • Prepares, restocks, and cleans exam rooms
  • Operates xray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests
  • Gives injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests
  • PCMH and quality assistance
  • Responsible for covering staff when absent
  • Assisting coworkers
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Education/Experience (Minimum Requirements):


  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook), and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Medical Clearance:


You must complete Comprehensive Primary Care's medical clearance requirements, which include, but may not be limited to, evidence of Hepatitis B, Pneumococcal screen, and a Tuberculosis screen, or have an approved medical or religious accommodation that precludes you from being vaccinated against these diseases.
