The Underwriting Assistant (UA) provides set up and administration assistance to the underwriting team.
The UA will assist in the production and maintenance of business by providing administrative support to the underwriting department that is timely, efficient and representative of the high standards set forth by the company.
- Enters submissions into underwriting system
- Issuance of Accurate policy issuance
- Process letters
- Data management
- Submission Entry
- Document verification, processing and management
- Attachment of documents
- Compliance verification
- Change of term reviews
- Mid-Term transactions
- Solicitation reviews
- Invoice creation
- Send documents to brokers upon Underwriter Request
- Adhoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate a consistently high level of accuracy and organization
- Display an understanding of all underwriting administrative and professional handling procedures; including familiarity with underwriting terminology.
- Display a thorough understanding of all relevant software
- Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary; problem solving and creative thinking skills are required.
- Must be a customer service oriented, a team player, willing to learn, organized, detailoriented and flexible.
- Must have good analytical skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Education
- High School Graduate
- College degree desired but not required
The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees.
Pay:
$50, $70,000.00 per year
