The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will inspect, confirm, and record the receipt of shipments.

This role will monitor, prepare, and ensure the accuracy of all outbound shipments and oversee the completion of documentation related to the loading and unloading of trucks.

This position is also responsible for managing the parcel shipments and effectively communicating with the other departments for outbound/inbound needs.

The coordinator will resolve discrepancies on inbound and outbound orders and related warehouse and dock paperwork.


Primary Responsibilities**- Check-in and inspect incoming trailers. Verify items, quantities, and product and truck condition before taking delivery, signing Bill of Ladings and all other receiving documentation. Make notations and alert QA and/or Purchasing of any discrepancies or issues. Fill out all required paperwork along with checking dock workers reports and labeling. Take Receiving paperwork to accounting.

  • Responsible for scheduling incoming and outbound dock times. Review daily inbound report. Monitors and communicates with other departments especially purchasing for no appointment and late deliveries.
  • Oversee daily reports for outbound Sales and Transfer orders. Oversee goods are properly wrapped and undamaged prior to the loading of trucks. Verify data in ERP and post / make corrections as necessary. Work with Customer service as necessary for late pickups or shipments to the external warehouse.
  • Assures that nonproduction related materials are delivered to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with tanker unloading paperwork and adherence to safety and food safety protocols.
  • Process UPS / FedEx and related shipments (inbound and outbound).
  • Assist Dock and Warehouse with reporting, data entry, and other related tasks.
  • Check in visitors. Direct drivers to appropriate warehouse doors or drop trailer location
  • Adheres to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, Safety, Food Safety, and Standardized Work procedures.
  • Maintain your work area in a cleaned and organized fashion at all times.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree in related field, or three plus years equivalent experience
  • 1+ year(s) in a production / industrial environment. Food or beverage manufacturing preferred but not required.
  • Previous forklift or hand jack experience (beneficial)

Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of SQF, GMP's, SQF, HACCP, Food Allergens, OSHA, Food Safety regulations.
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, FIFO and warehouse general practices. Including Shipping forms (BOLs, Receivers, packing lists, etc)
