Overview:
The Rutland Recreation and Parks Department operates five (5) facilities throughout the City of Rutland


These properties include:

the Rutland Recreation Community Center; Godnick Adult Center (Senior Center); White Memorial Park Pool; Giorgetti Athletic Complex and the Courcelle Brothers Building.

In addition, the Recreation Department maintains over 40 separate locations throughout the City of Rutland. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works as part of the maintenance team, will be performing hands on, labor intensive duties.
• Uses skills and knowledge in facility maintenance; turf management; landscaping and mechanics on a regular basis.

- communicates with team members and members of the general public in the course of their daily work assignments.
- follows oral and written instructions

• Prompt and regular attendance as scheduled. Appropriate use of time off.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Pay:
From $23.42 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
