- Manage and oversee the tax team of 3-5 employees striving to build the team to 8-10
- Direct tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for individuals, businesses, and organizations
- Formulate and execute tax strategies aimed at reducing tax liabilities and enhancing financial outcomes for clients
- Review the team's tax returns for accuracy
- Lead and actively engage in daily tax meetings
- Deliver exceptional client service, overseeing business and individual tax engagements with a keen focus on business returns (1120S, 1065) and associated individual 1040 returns
- Advise clients on critical business decisions to foster growth and success
- Build strong, reliable client and internal team relationships
- Manage risk and lead projects with a hands-on approach
- Actively hire, train, and mentor to cultivate a thriving professional community as well as foster professional advancement
- Remain abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry dynamics
- Provide informed guidance to clients while adhering to regulatory requirements
- Foster enduring client partnerships acting as a reliable advisor and delivering unparalleled client support
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to furnish comprehensive solutions aligned with overarching business goals
- Minimum of seven (7) years of public accounting experience, with a deep understanding of complex tax issues
- Possess hands on experience with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and complex partnerships and S-Corp businesses
- CPA, EA and/or JD
- Experience managing a remote overseas tax team
- Experience with the following software programs
- Intuit Pro Connect (preferred but experience with other tax software will suffice)
- QuickBooks
- Excel
- Intuit Practice Management by Carbon (highly preferred)
- Google Suite
- MS Office Suite
- Demonstrate proficiency in federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Hands-on involvement in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services for diverse clientele encompassing individuals, businesses, and organizations
- Proven work history of leadership skills including a talent for inspiring and effectively managing teams
- Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting while adeptly managing multiple priorities
